About the Procedure:
Surgery involves repairing the cleft in the lip and/or palate at the right age. This is done to improve appearance, but also to improve feeding, speech and indirectly hearing.
Dr. du Toit is a member of the Cleft Lip and Palate team at Tygerberg Hospital and also participates in international missions.
